Experimenting with Cyanotypes

Although cyanotype isn’t my chosen process I wished to experiment with it by using a high contrast negative. This is a shot from my story on the Pao makers, from a bakery at Calangute.

I followed the same process of mixing the chemicals for the cyanotype except that instead of controlled UV light I used the sun for the exposure. I left the plate out in direct sunlight, around noon and let it expose for 50 min.

I quite like the high contrast print, with quite a bit of details. Maybe a tad lesser exposure would have brought out even more.
