My process is Cyanotype. The Cyanotype process was invented by Sir John Herschel and here is the link to learn more about it.
The thing to remember is that the recipes given on this site are not for Indian conditions and things vary so often one has to experiment a bit. I have managed to start off with making the traditional cyanotypes. The green variety of Ammonium Ferric Citrate is not easily available here so had to make do with the brown variety. The intial 2-3 prints were an absolute disaster – they weren’t even blue. Finally we changed the portions of ammonium ferric citrate and potassium ferriccyanide and also acidified the paper by soaking it in a 5% solution of citric acid. Here are the results on different papers
Also had a day out with Daguerrotype… Madhavan showed us how to make daguerrotypes, pretty exciting… check out Tashi’s post Day 3-4 Daguerrotype Revealed.
